《全軍破敵 2(Medieval 2 Total War)》與前代相同，同樣以在中世紀歐洲那充滿 
混亂和血腥的年代為背景，玩家將帶領自己的軍隊，穿越歐洲發現美洲新大陸，與 
野蠻的阿茲提克人作戰。 
 
遊戲除了改進地圖模式，使得地形和人文建築都更加逼真，各個文明的外貌和特色 
都更加明顯，還提供超過 200種戰鬥單位，同時加入了許多新武器，而遊戲的圖像 
畫面也大幅提昇，可以同時呈現萬人作戰的寫實畫面，讓玩家體驗一場壯觀又刺激
